HILLSBORO, Kan. – The first fellow Highway 56 opponent of the season made their way east to Hillsboro as Central Christian came to town for a battle with the Bluejay Men on Saturday. The Tigers headed into the match with a 3-0 record, coming off a 3-nil decision against Bethany, while the Bluejays entered the match fresh off a 2-nil result at Bellevue.
Cooper Taylor put Tabor on the board first just inside the first 30 minutes of the match at the 29:41 mark.
The Bluejay Men looked to build on their lead with a goal at the 47:01 mark, but the goal was waved off due to an offside call after the fact.
Grant Adams netted the equalizer for the Tigers with 20 minutes left in the match.
Tabor netted what would have been the go-ahead goal at the 79' mark on the clock, only to have it waved off with another offside call after the fact.
Neither side could find a way to pull ahead and the two squads ended in a 1-1 draw.
