WICHITA, Kan. - The Tabor College women's tennis team made the short journey to Wichita looking for their first win of the conference season, but an in-form Friends University was able to win 7-0 on the day.
The Falcons were able to take the clean sweep in the doubles matches. However the number two duo of Fiorella Villa and Binita Sitoula played a close match losing 6-4 in a tightly contested matchup.
The singles did not get much better for Tabor with Friends taking the clean sweep, however Tara Stewart played a close match in the number one singles match narrowly losing 6-3, 6-4. Binita Sitoula forced a third set tiebreaker in a pulsating match, with the final score being 7-6 (4), 6-7 (4), 1-0 (10-4) in favor of her opponent.
The Bluejays will next play at home on April 20th against Evangel University. Matches will start at 10am. It will also be senior day so make sure to come out and support your Lady Jays tennis team in their final meet of the season. The senior day ceremony will begin at 9:45 and will be streamed on Facebook Live.
