SALINA, Kan. - The Tabor women's tennis team traveled to Salina to face Kansas Wesleyan. Despite some close matches the score ended 7-0 in favor of the Coyotes.
The day did not start well for Tabor as Katherine Classen and Fiorella Villa lost 6-0 in the number one doubles match. Vitia Chacon and Binita Sitoula also lost 6-0 in the number two doubles matchup.
Kansas Wesleyan was able to take the clean sweep in the singles matches. Despite this Fiorella Villa was able to force the third set tiebreaker at the number one singles match. Villa narrowly lost 10-8 in the tie breaker set after a thrilling match of tennis. Binita Sitoula lost in a very close and competitive singles match, narrowly losing 6-2, 6-3.
"The women came close in every match with Ella Villa and Benita Sitoula losing very close matches," said Head Coach John Ruder.
The Bluejays will be back in action on April 18th in Wichita to face Friends University, matches will start at 3:00pm.
