HILLSBORO, Kan. - Despite a valiant effort all-round from the Lady Jays they ultimately fall at the hands of the Hastings College Broncos 6-1 on the day.
The day started off brilliantly for Tabor as Tara Stewart and Fiorella Villa won their doubles match 6-2. Binita Sitoula and Katherine Classen had a closely fought contest against high quality opponents, falling short 7-5 in the end.
Stewart also won her singles match against Hastings' Sasha Richards 6-1, 6-0 in a well played game by the Northern Ireland native.
"The women are improving and I am excited to see how we do on Wednesday when we play our first conference match at Bethany," said Coach John Ruder after the matches.
The Bluejays will next play on the road at Bethany College on March 6th, with matches set to start at 3pm.
