HILLSBORO, Kan. – The Tabor College Men's Reserve Basketball team took on the Reserve Men's Basketball team from Sterling College on Wednesday afternoon. The Bluejay men were coming off a heartbreaking loss at Kansas Wesleyan University last Monday, while the Warriors were coming off a win over Southwestern College on Saturday.
 
The Bluejay men would struggle in the first half and find themselves down 12 points at the halftime break, 44-32. Creighton Kukula led the team in scoring in the first half with 10 points, while Langston Taylor had seven, Fate Thiel had six, Drew Wertenberger had five, Hayden Lucas had three, and Brett Buckingham had one.
 
The second half would see the Bluejays continue to struggle as turnovers mounted and Sterling kept hitting their shots. The Tabor men would find themselves on the wrong end of a 95-76 result. Kukula once again led the Bluejays in scoring, while Taylor had 12, Buckingham and Kam Kaniper had 11, Wertenberger had seven, and Lucas, Thiel, and Jordy Dolloff each had six.
 
Reserve Head Coach Ethan Gager had this to say about the result, "We just didn't do a great job of executing what we talked about on either end of the floor. We just need to use this as a learning experience to determine how we can have a good week of preparation to bounce back against Bethel."
 
The Bluejay Reserve men will be back in action next Wednesday, February 14^th, to host rival Bethel College. The game will tip off at 3:45 pm.
