HILLSBORO, Kan. – Wednesday marked the home finale for the Lady Bluejays as they hosted Highway 56 rival and No. 17 ranked McPherson College.
Tabor had their work cut out for them as the Bulldogs came out on fire in the first set, dropping Set One, 25-14. Set Two saw the Bluejays put up a strong fight, keeping McPherson on the ropes before falling 25-18. The third set looked similar to the first, as the Bluejays found themselves down early and couldn't find a way to recover, falling 25-12.
Liana McGonigle led Tabor offensively with 11 kills, while
Cocone Matsuzawa dished out 14 assists to lead the team on that front.
With the loss, the Lady Bluejays drop to 4-23 on the season and 2-10 in KCAC play and look to bounce back and finish the season on a positive note in Saturday's season final in Wichita against Friends University.
