Box Score PAPILLION, Neb. The Tabor Bluejays traveled to Papillion, Nebraska on Saturday, August 26th to take Bellevue University, which received votes in the NAIA preseason rankings. However, the Bluejays could not pull off the upset in their season debut, falling 4-0.
Bellevue scored three goals in the first half to break the game open and solidify the win. The Bluejays execution improved, giving up just one second-half goal, but it was not enough to come back against the Bruins.
Head Coach Ian Thompson described the game as a good learning experience and was encouraged by how his team played in the second half.
Up next, Tabor will play at home against the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma on August 29th. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. at Joel H. Wiens Stadium.
