BLUEJAY MEN FALL IN EXHIBITION AGAINST DII No. 3 CENTRAL OKLAHOMA

EDMOND, Okla. – The Tabor College Bluejay Men's Basketball team traveled down to Edmond, Oklahoma to take on NCAA Division II University of Central Oklahoma in an Exhibition matchup. With this matchup being an Exhibition game, the result does not count towards the Bluejays' record, nor do the players' stats count.

For the Bluejay men, this is the best team they have faced so far this season. Head Coach Matt Warren used this as an opportunity to give some guys more experience, who otherwise may not play as much during conference games, as well as giving his starters some time to rest. Kade Hemmert got the call to start and made the most of that opportunity, finishing second on the team in scoring, with nine points, as well as hauling in three rebounds and a steal.

Jaiden Miller led the team in scoring with 10 points, Hemmert was right behind him, and Thatcher McClure had seven points and six rebounds. Two Bluejays scored for the first time this season, Kam Kaniper, who had three points, and Creighton Kukula who had three points as well. Kukula saw his first varsity action of the season, along with Luke Buckingham and Leon Srisamutr getting some playing time as well.

Eleven Bluejays scored: Miller, Hemmert, McClure, along with Jackson Baer, Kenyon Holcombe, and Jack Voth each with five points, James Aboaba and Jake Proctor each had four, Kaniper and Kukula with three, and Kalep Crane finished with two.

The Bluejays will make another short turnaround to face the Roos of NCAA Division I University of Missouri-Kansas City in another exhibition matchup tonight. The game will tip off at 7:00pm in Kansas City at the Swinney Center and will be broadcast for a fee on the Summit League Network and live stats will be available here.

Tabor College is a Christ-centered institution located in Hillsboro, Kansas. The Bluejays are members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and compete in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC).
