BLUEJAYS HIT THE WARRIORS FOR TWO

Box Score

Hillsboro, Kan.   The Bluejays came into the game on Wednesday after an impressive Homecoming win. The rampant Jays kept their flow and were able to overpower Sterling College to get the 2-0 win on the night.

The first half of the match brought an offensive dynamite from the Bluejays, as they registered fourteen shots on target in the first half compared to two from the Warriors. The well-oiled Sterling defensive machine was finally broken on the 25th minute when a beautiful April Ochoa cross found the feet of Raegan King, who slammed the ball into the net to make the score 1-0. Despite a couple of chances for Sterling, the score would hold until the break.

The second half brought much of the same from the Bluejays as they once again registered fourteen shots on goal. The Bluejays extended their lead in the 76th minute as Jami Dooley got on the score sheet for her first goal in the KCAC this season. The Bluejays comfortably saw out the rest of the game with the defense lead by Kylie Bush being as good as ever.

The Bluejays will be on the road on Saturday, Oct. 7th against the Braves of Ottawa University with kickoff set for 1 p.m.

Tabor College is a Christ-centered institution located in Hillsboro, Kansas. The Bluejays are members of the NAIA and compete in the KCAC.
