BLUEJAY WOMEN VICTORIOUS ON HOMECOMING WEEKEND

Hillsboro, Kan.   The Bluejays came into the homecoming contest looking to rebound after a close defeat against Kansas Wesleyan on Wednesday. The women were able to score two goals on Saturday night to give the Bluejays a 2-0 victory.

The first half of the contest was a closely fought one with Evangel having six shots in the first half to Tabor's five. However, the deadlock was broken 15 minutes into the contest as captain Raegan King opened the scoring. The Bluejays were able to hold on until halftime making the score 1-0 at the break.

The second half brought an offensive flourish from the Jays as they were able to register seven shots in the second half. The Bluejays were able to extend the lead courtesy of the German maestro Marie Seeger, who scored directly from a corner kick. The women then comfortably saw out the game allowing for an impressive 2-0 victory on the night.

The Bluejays will next play at home on Wednesday, Oct. 4 against Sterling College with kickoff set for 5 p.m.

Tabor College is a Christ-centered institution located in Hillsboro, Kansas. The Bluejays are members of the NAIA and compete in the KCAC.
