Box Score Hillsboro, Kan. The Tabor men's soccer team came into the homecoming fixture against Evangel after a disappointing road loss to Kansas Wesleyan midweek. The game would be an even affair with the score at the end being 0-0.
The first half brought an offensive push from the Bluejays as they registered three shots in the first half. The Bluejays played a confident half with their passing and connecting to the offense, however neither team was able to find a breakthrough keeping the score at the break 0-0.
The second half was a much more even affair with end-to-end soccer being played. Both defenses were up to the challenge, repelling any attack that came their way, with a back four of Cooper Taylor, Rory Cameron, Lorenzo Ghilardi and Lucca Rodrigues putting in a good shift. Both teams were able to hold out until the end making the final score 0-0.
"It was nice to get our first shutout of the season. We need to connect more in the offensive end to be successful on Wednesday". Head Coach Grant Brubacher said.
The Bluejays will next play at home on Wednesday, Oct. 4 against Sterling College with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
Tabor College is a Christ-centered institution located in Hillsboro, Kansas. The Bluejays are members of the NAIA and compete in the KCAC.
