BLUEJAY MEN FALL SHORT IN FINAL HOME GAME OF THE SEASON

Box Score

Hillsboro, Kan.   The Bluejays went into Saturday's game looking to disrupt the flow of the conference by denying the Eagles the conference title. Some sharp offense from the Eagles disrupted the Bluejays and caused a 3-0 defeat on the night.

The first half started well for the Bluejays as they were able to put pressure on the Eagles goal. The Bluejay defense did well to thwart any threat from the Eagles. A wonder goal from nowhere in the 26th minute from the Eagles stunned the Bluejays and meant that they went into halftime 1-0 down.

The second half brought more offense from the Eagles but goalkeeper Jesus Rondon made a number of good saves. Two goals from the Eagles in the 59th minute put the game beyond any doubt and meant the final score was 3-0 in favor of the Eagles.

"It was a tough loss, but it gives us things to focus on going into the play-offs," Head Coach Grant Brubacher said after the game.

Seniors William Butterworth and Nathan Seelbach were also acknowledged before the game. Thank you to both of you for your service to our program over the years. You will be missed.

Tabor College will next play on the road in Salina to face Kansas Wesleyan for the first round of the KCAC postseason. The game will be on Friday, Nov. 3 with kickoff to be confirmed.

Tabor College is a Christ-centered institution located in Hillsboro, Kansas. The Bluejays are members of the NAIA and compete in the KCAC.
