Hillsboro, KS.    The Tabor Bluejays control their own destiny coming into their final four regular season games, and a win over Bethany College would do wonders for a playoff bid for the Bluejays. They did just that with a dominant 3-1 display on the night.

The first half brought Bluejay dominance with 16 shots recorded in the first half, however they did not find a way to break the deadlock. Despite not scoring in the first half the Bluejays were playing with a tantalizing tempo, in particular freshman Charlie Stammers was having a great game for himself. The score going into the break was 0-0.

The second half brought much of the same from the Bluejays as they were all over the Swedes from the very start of their half. The Welsh wizard Eric Brown was finally able to break the deadlock in the 57th minute by slotting the ball beautifully past the Bethany keeper off an Ander Bengoetxea assist. Bengoetxea then found himself on the scoresheet in the 66th minute for his 8th goal of the season. The ever-dangerous Christoph Seeger got himself a goal in the 89th minute off another Bengoextea assist. The Swedes would grab a goal right at the end to make the score 3-1 in the end.

"It was a professional display, but a shame not to get the clean sheet," Head Coach Grant Brubacher said after the game.

The Bluejays will be on the road on Saturday, Oct. 21 to face Avila, with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m.

Tabor College is a Christ-centered institution located in Hillsboro, Kansas. The Bluejays are members of the NAIA and compete in the KCAC.
