Box Score Ottawa, Kan. The Bluejays came into the match against the Braves after an impressive win over Sterling College in midweek. However despite taking the lead, the Braves were able to overpower the Bluejays and claim the 4-1 victory.
The first half of the match started amazingly well when Sam Butler found himself on the end of an Ander Bengoetxea cross for the first goal of the game in the third minute to make the score 1-0. The Braves would respond with goals in the 17th and the 19th minute to flip the games on its head. Another goal for the Braves in the 32nd minute made the score at the break 3-1.
The second half brought a much better fight from the Bluejays and saw them press the Ottawa defense a lot more, however a goal in the last second of the game from the Braves put the game beyond any doubt, making the final score 4-1 in favor of the Braves.
"It was a tough loss against a quality opponent," Head Coach Grant Brubacher said.
The Bluejays next game will be on the road in Newton as they face Bethel College, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
Tabor College is a Christ-centered institution located in Hillsboro, Kansas. The Bluejays are members of the NAIA and compete in the KCAC.
