Graduate Assistant Coach Alec Boege is entering his first season with the Tabor College women’s basketball team after working the past two seasons as an assistant on the women’s basketball staff at Bellevue University in Nebraska.
COACHING BACKGROUND
During his time at Bellevue, Boege assisted with recruiting, scouting, film coordination, analytics, player development, coordination of travel accommodations and reservations and fundraising. Boege coached Joy Beran, who was a Frontier Conference 2nd Team All-Conference selection following the 2025-26 season.
Prior to his time at Bellevue, Boege was at the University of Iowa where he worked closely with the Hawkeye football team’s strength and conditioning staff.
Alec has a wealth of experience working camps collegiately at both Iowa, Creighton and Nebraska. He was an assistant director of the 712 Area Basketball Camp, hosted by Tri-Center High School. He was also a summer assistant coach for Tri-Center, assisting head coach Chad Harder with player development.
“We are excited to have Alec join our staff,” said Tabor College Head Women’s Basketball Coach Shawn Reed. “Alec gained valuable experience during his two seasons at Bellevue and that experience will benefit our program moving forward. We look forward to working with Alec and are eager to benefit from his contributions to our program.”
