TABOR'S SCOTT FRANZ SELECTED AS 2025-26 NAIA NATIONAL STUDENT CLEARINGHOUSE REGISTRAR OF THE YEAR

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced their 2025-26 national awards on Tuesday morning.

Tabor's Scott Franz was selected as the 2025-26 NAIA National Student Clearinghouse Registrar of the Year. This award recognizes an outstanding registrar who has distinguished themselves as a model of the profession and shown dedication during the previous year with on-campus certifications for athletics eligibility. The recipient should exemplify loyalty, enthusiasm, service, passion, and a commitment to their institution, the NAIA, and student athletes.

Scott has played a critical part in the success of the everyday workings at Tabor College, both on the academic and athletic sides of things, for the past 20 years. He wears many hats at the college, including working in the financial aid office, helping at sporting events, and serving on the NAIA Home School Committee.

Outside of work, Scott and his wife often act as host families for student-athletes. He is active in the Hillsboro community, where he can be found helping out at his church or volunteering elsewhere around town where there is a need.

He is passionate about helping others succeed and truly enjoys the work he does. He goes above and beyond for the college, for the community, and especially for student-athletes.

"I couldn't be happier for Scott and Tabor College", remarked Director of Athletics, Jeff Brewer. "I love it when good people are recognized for doing a great job, Scott is such a blessing to the athletic department and Tabor as a whole. There are so many things that he does to keep us moving in the right direction. This is a much-deserved award, we do have the best registrar in the NAIA!"
