HILLSBORO, Kan. – One of the most recognizable names in the Tabor College athletic department in recent memory is from a sport one wouldn't necessarily expect.
Jessica Emoto might be one of the most talented female athletes that Tabor has seen, coming all the way from Gresham, Ore. to compete for the Bluejays.
Emoto stepped on campus and immediately made an impact on the court. Throughout the course of her career, she earned multiple KCAC Player of the Year awards and was also named an NAIA Tennis First Team All-American. She was also a three-time ITA Central Region champion and a participant in the ITA National Small College Championships.
Although graduating in 2018, Emoto left her mark on the Bluejay tennis courts in a big way, etching her name in the history books as the best tennis player to ever compete at Tabor College.
