HILLSBORO, Kan. – The Tabor College men's and women's tennis teams faced challenging conditions on Saturday, March 15, as they hosted Avila University. The Bluejays made the most of the opportunity, with the men's team dominating in a 7-0 sweep while the women's team continued to battle but fell short in a competitive matchup.
"The conditions today were less than favorable, but we tried to make the best of it," head coach Jeremy Nelson said. "Really proud of the way the guys focused on the task at hand and picked up their first conference win! Really happy for Alex Boljesic who picked up his first career singles win. On the ladies' side, I was proud of the way we fought and tried to keep improving despite the tough conditions. Next, we get a few days of much-needed rest before taking on a really talented Bethel squad next weekend."
