RESERVE LADY BLUEJAYS FALL IN TOUGH TEST AT BAKER

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Bluejay Reserve Volleyball made the trip to Baldwin City to take on Baker in their third match of the season.

The Bluejays entered the match with a 1-1 record after dropping their first match of the season to Ottawa and picking up their opening win against Central Christian last Wednesday, while the Wildcats also owned a 1-1 record heading into the match, with a win over Kansas Christian and a loss to Friends.

Tabor dropped both sets by rather significant margins, but there were still bright spots in the match, highlighted by freshman Catherine Eddy's performance.

"Our match against Baker definitely showed growth in our setter and hitter connections", stated Reserve Head Coach Adrianne Zabel.

"Each week so far this group has shown growth in their talent and potential to compete. The biggest struggle we faced in our match was our serve receive & defensive systems. With our next match being at MNU next Wednesday against MNU & Avila, we are excited to continue to spend the next week in the gym preparing and building these skills."

The Lady Bluejays return to action next Wednesday (September 4th) as they head to Olathe to compete in the MNU Triangular against MidAmerica Nazarene and Avila.
