HILLSBORO, Kan. - The Tabor men's tennis team welcomed Evangel to gain an important senior day win. Despite some amazing tennis played, Evangel would win 5-2 on the day.
Tabor was able to dominate the doubles proceedings with Ko Osuga and Jean Paul Fort winning the number one doubles 6-1. Stephano Moreano Chan and Jake Goertzen also won their doubles match with a very respectable score of 6-4.
The singles matches was the undoing for Tabor as Evangel was able to dominate the proceedings. The only holdout for Tabor was Ko Osuga who was able to win 6-3, 6-0 at the number two singles match.
"I'm proud of both teams. They fought hard and never gave up. It was a pleasure to be their coach. I also want to thank Tabor College for giving me the opportunity to coach at Tabor one more time," said Head Coach John Ruder.
We would also like to thank the seniors: Jean Paul Fort, Stephano Moreano Chan, Alexis Torres and Nathan Coria for their years of dedication to both the tennis program and Tabor College.
