TABOR IS VICTORIOUS OVER OKLAHOMA WESLEYAN

HILLSBORO, Kan.  -  The Tabor College men's tennis team was able to snap a five-match losing streak and win 5-2 against the Eagles of Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

The doubles was a thrilling affair for the Bluejays as Ko Osuga and Jean Paul Fort narrowly lost out 7-5 in a thrilling match. Stephano Moreano Chan and Jake Goertzen dominated in their doubles match, winning 6-1 on the day. They took the doubles point, as well as the five and six singles points by forfeit.

It was Goertzen and Moreano Chan who came to the rescue for Tabor in the singles matches as they both won outright in their matches 6-3, 6-4 and 6-0, 6-0 respectively. Jean Paul Fort also played a close singles match narrowly losing 6-4 in the first set.

"The men played a strong match led by a strong performance by Jake Goertzen and Stephano Chan," said Head Coach John Ruder

The men will next be in action on the road on April 11th at Kansas Wesleyan University at 3pm.
