HILLSBORO, Kan. - The Bluejays welcomed their close rivals Bethel College to Hillsboro to extend their winning streak but an in-form Bethel team was able to get the best of the Bluejays and get the 7-0 win on the day.
The doubles was a torrid affair for the Bluejays with Bethel taking the clean sweep, but despite this Jake Goertzen and Stephano Moreano Chan played an extremely close match at #2 doubles losing 7-6 (5) in a tiebreaker.
Singles did not get much better for Tabor as Bethel once again took the clean sweep, however Ko Osuga went toe-to-toe with Bethel's Milan Bucek in the second set narrowly missing out 7-6 (5) in the end.
"The men played well and never gave up. Like the women's team, they are constantly improving as we move through the season," said Head Coach John Ruder.
The Bluejays will next play at home on Saturday March 23rd against the University of St Mary. Matches will start at 1:00pm.
