WINFIELD, Kan. - The Tabor College Men's tennis team continued an impressive run of form with another emphatic 5-2 win on the road against the Moundbuilders of Southwestern College.
The doubles matches was a positive one for the Bluejays with Stephano Moreano Chan and Jake Goertzen winning the number two doubles match 7-5. The dynamic duo of Nathan Coria and Alexis Torres played a dominant match beating their opponents 6-2 on the day.
The Bluejays also dominated the singles matches with Jake Goertzen playing a thrilling match winning 2-6, 6-3, and winning 7-6 in the third set tiebreaker. Stephano Moreano Chan dominated his singles match winning 6-1, 6-1 in a very one-sided contest. Carlos Robles also dominated his match winning 6-3, 6-3. Then lastly John Ferley played a fantastic and thrilling match winning 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.
"Every match was hard fought and our men's team is raising its level of play each time we step on the court. It will be exciting to see how we do at home against Bethel on Wednesday," said Head Coach John Ruder.
The Bluejays will next play on March 20th, at home against Bethel College. Matches are set to start at 3:00pm.
