SEWARD, Neb. - The Bluejays went into Saturday's games at Concordia University with a lot to prove after being ranked 8th in the KCAC preseason poll. After a productive day on the road the Bluejays look to improve before going into KCAC play, despite the 5-2 loss.
Ko Osuga and Jean Paul Fort won their doubles match 6-2. Osuga also won his singles match 7-6 (3), 4-6, 10-8 in the third set tiebreaker. Fort also won his singles match 7-5, 6-1. Jake Goertzen also played well in a game that the scoreline did not do justice. Stephano Moreano Chan also played a good match, losing 4-10 in the third set tiebreaker.
"As a whole the team played well. They kept their composure and did an excellent job between points with settling their emotions and focusing on the next point. I saw lots of good points and many positive things we can build on," said Head Coach John Ruder.
The Bluejays will next play at home in Hillsboro on February 27th against the Doane University Tigers with matches beginning at 2:00pm.
